A short simple outing in Avignon, lifetime memories created

It's always an adventure setting out in a new place for something as routine as sunscreen and ending up thoroughly delighted with the wide variety of  discoveries.

The first was the market in  Place Pie, the square across from Les Halles. An African gentleman was an effective marketer, selling hand sized African masks as old passports. Most were from Mali and supposedly identified the person's skills. You can hear his explanation in the YouTube video I've linked.  There were animal caregivers, dentists. The one I chose today because I'm especially missing my sister Sheila who passed 10 days ago,  was the Mother Earth, bringer of peace to households. Day started by stepping outside and seeing a small horse trailer filling the street in front of our flat

Cars were not honking or hollering behind her.  There are many things I enjoy observing here, and patience is one of them. For example, in the post office, standing in line to purchase stamps, it's common for the person to socialize as the line grows.  First time I gave up, today I practiced patience and learned that I could buy stamps from the machine in front -- Patience pays off!!

Walked by a chocolate shop and enjoyed a cup of home made hot chocolate.

Looking forward to trying new cheeses we found at this shop. Also purchase butter there

Tried their hardest and softest sheep cheese to determine which we liked; we loved both!

And if only I always had my camera at the ready because the people watching is extraordinary, looked like  red velvet.

The photo that I missed was of a woman with a tuba on the back of your bike!
